Our second piece of jewellery collaboration with Yumi Ito. Yumi said that she would like to have a unisex and functional piece to present to her audience.

From there, the idea of a multi-function jewelry was born.

Listening to her music I carved the shape using the traditional lost wax technique.

It was designed to be worn as both a necklace and a key holder, it moves effortlessly between function and adornment. 

Yumi named it  “Island,” SHIMA suggests a self-contained world that holds, protects, and stays close. Inspired by the emotional landscapes of Yumi Ito’s albums Lonely Island and Ysla, it reflects belonging, connection, home, and quiet transformation, a talisman to carry wherever you go.
