This necklace features a textured centerpiece made with Mitsuro wax, which is hand folded to achieve a unique pattern and texture that only the human hand can create. By wearing this piece, you carry a part of the time and experience I have dedicated to jewelry making, as each individual craft requires significant dedication to perfect.
I prepare the wax myself in the studio after extensive research into its nature. It reacts sensitively to temperature, which makes it incredibly difficult to control. The most fascinating aspect of this wax is that it preserves the exact moment it was shaped; to reuse the material, it must be melted down completely to start again from zero.
The necklace is linked by hand soldered jump rings and features hand filed dangling decorations at the front to create fluid movement.
